Terms and Conditions

  1. This prize is for young Filipino women writers, including transwomen writers, ages 18 to 45 years old, who are residents of the Philippines. 
  2. A writer may submit only one entry falling under one of the four categories. 
  3. Submitted works need to be unpublished. No part of the submitted work should have been published before or in the course of the deliberations for the prize. This includes publications online and in print, with the exception of excerpts or versions that appear on the author’s personal blogs.
  4. For 2023, works of translation are not accepted.
  5. For 2023, co-authored works are also not accepted. 
  6. Writers who have published with Everything’s Fine, or who are in talks this year (2023) to have their books published with us, are not eligible. 
  7. Works that are already in process of getting published with a publisher (mainstream, small press, or indie) are not eligible. 
  8. Everything’s Fine has the exclusive right to publish the first edition of the winning works. 
  9. The prize for each of these categories is an advance on royalties.
  10. The decisions of the judges are final.
  11. Submitting an entry for The Sisa Prize means the entrant agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
  12. The Sisa Prize reserves the right to decide that there will be no winners for a given category or categories.
